Looking for something fun to do? The Parent Express Calendar of Events includes information on museum and nature activities, playgroups, storytimes, workshops and classes, music and theater performances, and family support and education throughout Windham and Cheshire counties. The calendar is updated as new events come in, so be sure to bookmark the page (just click Ctrl-D on your keyboard) and check back regularly for the latest offerings.

The UNH Cooperative Extension Research Team will hold a forum for public input in their effort to assess the effectiveness of the current New Hampshire child-support economic formula in serving the best interests of children. Keene. Activity Night: 7-9:30pm. Activity nights are for children in grades 6, 7 and 8 and are fund-raisers for community organizations. The sponsoring groups provide adult chaperones, set the admission rate, and decide the cancellation policy. If the activity is cancelled due to inclement weather, the local radio stations will announce that fact in the late afternoon on the day of the event. Admission for the 2008-09 season is $5, unless otherwise announced. Pizza, candy, soda and water will be for sale at each event.

Keene. Prenatal Smoking Cessation Education & Support Group: Call for dates and times. Pregnant moms and their partners learn about ways to help reduce/quit smoking, how to deal with people who smoke around them, and meet other moms to find out what is working for them. Windham County. The Welcome Baby Program: Offers a one-time free (and fun!) visit to parents who live in Windham County with infants. The Welcome Baby Program introduces parents to the resources of the school system and the community. Traditionally, a community volunteer welcomes the baby into the community and delivers a bag with gifts from local businesses, brochures from area agencies, health and safety information, tips on child development, and information on parenting and local opportunities to network with other parents.
